today we headed down to brooklyn to meet with the guys from the one and only brooklyn circus. we’ve worked with them before so we knew it would be great to finally meet them in person, plus it was the first time we actually got to check out the store. all in all it was really great and just being inside there inspired me, so if you’re ever in brooklyn near the manhattan bridge, make sure you get down to bergen street to check it out in the flesh.
check out their blog because they are constantly updating it with news from the store and awesome stuff they get in stock or find from spots all over the world.

sometimes i have very vivid dreams and the resulting memories leave a weird impression on me for the rest of the day. it’s almost like the dreamland “taps me on the shoulder” reminding me of what happened and then disappears when i turn around to see it. if i’m not able to remember an exact scene, i’m usually able to remember a pretty detailed atmosphere, and that usually leads to an association of color and structure. just a little peak inside my head for ya.
as for this piece, it’s a combination of a recent dream and another that took place more than a year ago. note the style progression from tight to loose.
