i have a personal vendetta against the letter H. everyone always spells my name incorrectly, adding that wretched character into my tri-form moniker. curse you, letter H!!! you must be destroyed!!!

i always enjoy seeing where people work and sharing where i work, but i don’t think i’ve ever shown off my home studio. if you click on the photos, they will take you to my flickr page where they’re annotated.
i started doing a new series called “alphabook” tonight. the plan is to illustrate every letter of the alphabet with some kind of relative scene or imagery. i don’t want it to be too obvious like “B is for bee,” so i’m trying to keep it fairly obscure and interesting.
i was feeling a little tired and lazy tonight, but i still felt like drawing. i wasn’t quite sure what though. i started with some animals, but nothing was really flowing.
my motto is when in doubt, draw mafia related subject matter.
an exercise in boredom. nothing really worth mentioning here; in fact, i kind of hate it. the composition is gross and there are some awful letterforms in there. i like the lowercase j and the big fat EGO though.
i guess this is like a roll of film if anything. take thirty shots and get two decent ones that might have some staying power.
how many designers do you know that are happy with anything for longer than five minutes? i’ve decided i’m just going to keep up with my own patience and update this site with the seasons. big news (if any) will be on the home page and all of the work will reside here in the blog.
spring’s almost here! ok, maybe not yet…but soon.
this was drawn for reilly stroope for a new project he’s currently working on.
i started with some type, then i migrated to birds, then back to type. finally i ended with an illustration for a book cover.
