Rick Berry

wow, the artwork of rick berry is absolutely amazing. i love his sense of anatomical motion, but his lighting and coloring techniques used to convey emotion are incredible. they really add a lot to the sense of fantasy and environment in each piece. this is definitely a website for your bookmarks. geez, look at how awesome that arm rendering is. unbelievable.

gluttony

this is a really fun project we’ve got going on at work right now. the brooklyn circus is coming out with a series of shirts entitled “the seven deadly sins” which, as i’m sure you can guess, is based off the old school cardinal vices of dante’s inferno fame. the whole idea is to design the shirts with a classic illuminated manuscript style; some major gothic influence is in there as well. the above is a custom type piece for “gluttony.” continue reading…

well it’s that time of the year again. i’ve redesigned the layout for the summer. i may have a new print for sale soon and, of course, a million typographic drawings. what else would you expect?!

actually, i plan on adding some more dynamic content to the blog. inspiring links, maybe some music and/or videos. just the good stuff…the really good stuff. i’ve also opened up commenting, so now we can start a dialogue here people.
